Platelet Rich Plasma Treatments

Imagine regenerating your skin with your own body’s chemistry and cells, and no drugs or artificial products!

Introducing the new Platelet Rich Plasma Treatments  - The Basis of Cellular Cosmetic Medicine
Platelet Rich Plasma is one of the most advanced techniques of cell regeneration. This technique is based on the scientific discovery of the wonderful substance called Growth Factor. It is not a medicine, not synthesised from natural or artificial products, but simply consists of a person's blood "harvesting' and 'implementing ' its own cell regeneration in the right place.

Platelet Rich Plasma has been well researched and used over the years in Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Gastrointestinal, Gynaecocolgy and Women's health, Neurosurgery, Renal Medicine, for cellular
regeneration and tissue repair. The new advancement of Platelet Rich Plasma in Skin and Cosmetic medicine uses the same process of cellular regeneration and tissue repair to create and maintain beauty, heal, repair and nourish problematic areas on your body

Imagine regenerating your skin with your own body's chemistry and cells, no drugs or artificial products! This relatively new approach appeals to clients seeking a natural method to skin rejuvenation and youthfulness.

These growth factors are recovered simply, by centrifuging and activating your blood. Dr Flora uses one of the most advanced FDA approved Centrifuges to produce a highly concentrated platelet rich plasma , yielding growth factors that is roughly 4 to 6 times greater than that found in whole blood.

Unlike other products, it delivers a broad range of growth factors in the proper concentration and ratios for optimal and consistent results.
Ageing affects the body texture, shape, colour and strength. The skin texture and appearance deteriorate with ageing and sun exposure worsen this process. The tissues loose their elasticity leading to sagging and wrinkling and in some areas, reduced function and growth.

This can affect different areas of the body including the face, hair, back of hands, arms, neck, chest, abdominal walls, breasts, jaw lines, around the eyes, vaginal walls, urinary tracts. Sometimes, different parts of the body also deteriorate due to different stimulants and stress affecting function, growth and attraction. These stresses could be physical, surgical, traumatic, chemical, biological, or emotional. Platelet rich plasma also plays a role in rejuvenating these damaged areas.

The potential benefits of Platelet Rich Plasma are enormous and include:
  • Youthful Vibrant Skin.
  • Tighter, firmer skin.
  • Reduced sagging.
  • Fewer wrinkle lines.
  • Reduction and elimination of scars and stretch marks.
  • Elimination of dark under eye circles.
  • Achieving a natural facial lift.
  • Achieving a natural breast lift and sensitivity.
  • Achieving sustained hair growth and regeneration.
  • Regeneration of damaged ligaments and joints.
  • Improving urinary incontinence.
  • Improving sexual function.
  • Improved wound healing.
The Procedure
Dr Flora will conduct a thorough personal consultation to address your concerns and determine if you would benefit from this treatment.

We take 60 mls of your blood, and centrifuge it to get your platelet rich plasma. This is then activated and then injected back into the areas to be treated. For optimal comfort, this procedure is performed under a topical local anaesthesia, using a local anaesthetic cream. It can take between 30-90 minutes depending on the complexity.
The results of Platelet Rich Plasma treatments are not instant as it uses the natural process of wound healing and regeneration. Improvements of skin texture, volume, tone and tissue function can be noticeable within 3 weeks, but the full result can take up to 2 to 3 months to become noticeable.

For best results, Dr Flora recommends an initial 2 to 3 treatments, 4 to 6 weeks apart. Once the desired effect has been achieved it can last up to 12 to 18 months.
Maintenance treatment with one treatment a year is also highly recommended.
