Medical Grade Dermapen

Dr Flora Skin Health Medical Grade Dermapen
The Medical Grade Dermapen is an electric hand held device composed of multiple micro needles that vertically pierce the skin, and then creates thousands of microscopic channels (called a cascade) through the skin. The difference with the medical grade Dermapen is that it can go to varying depths depending on the condition it is being used to treat. This is called fractional micro-needling.

Micro needling with Dermapen stimulates the skin’s fibroblast cells to deposit new collagen and to help restore the smoothness of the skin’s surface. The body quickly rushes to repair these infinitely small channels, by depositing collagen and elastin, by increasing blood flow to the area and in the process restoring skin to its taut more youthful appearance.

The depth of the needle can be adjusted during the course of the procedure to accommodate the different treatment areas and can easily maneuver around facial contours and delicate areas .Therefore Dermapen is suitable for all skin types and can be used safely on delicate skins and delicate areas such as under the eyes and around the nose and mouth. There is generally no down time however the skin is quite red afterwards for about 12-48 hours and there is a possibility of minimal post-treatment bleeding.

For significant results a course of 4 to 6 treatments (spaced 2 -4 weeks apart) is recommended, but immediate smoothness can be felt after just one treatment!
