Platelet Rich Plasma Facelift

What is a Platelet Rich Plasma Facelift?
Platelet Rich Plasma Facelift is a natural non-surgical facelift. The enhancement of youth and beauty is achieved by addressing shape, size, colour and texture, all of which can be achieved with a platelet rich plasma facelift.

This procedure is a liquid facelift which is done in a particular way to enhance beauty. It involves the use of small volumes of dermal fillers in specific ways to sculpt a naturally beautiful shape and injecting blood derived growth factors made from activating your own blood platelets with calcium chloride on top of the dermal fillers to improve colour, texture and shape. Because this procedure involves using your own blood, some people have called it the Vampire Facelift

This combination of PRP, calcium chloride and dermal fillers gives a beautiful natural face lift. Following one treatment, most people notice an immediate change which continually improves with time. Maximum effect of the procedure is normally noticed at 3 months and the effect lasts for about 12 to 18 months.

Platelet Rich Plasma Facials

This facial procedure utilizes a combination of activated platelet rich plasma and micro-needling treatment to achieve a more youthful, vibrant facial skin glow. Dr Flora will draw your blood, which she activates with calcium chloride. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is either injected or smeared onto your face. With the new advanced micro-needling device known as the Medical Grade Dermapen, the PRP is further pushed into your skin, to achieve a more youthful skin glow. The procedure has minimal down time and the available post care treatment further minimizes this. With this combination technique quicker and more long lasting results are achieved.

The enhanced cellular regeneration and collagen stimulation achieved with this procedure leads to:
  • Skin firming and tightening.
  • Rehydration and Rejuvenation.
  • Improvement of skin colour, tone and texture.
  • Reduction and elimination of blemishes and pigmentation.
  • Improved dark and baggy eyes.
  • Scar reduction.
  • Fine wrinkles and lines reduction.
  • Crows feet and smokers lines reduction.

The results of this procedure are not instant. While some people can notice the effect as early as 2 weeks, the effect is mostly noticed around 3 months after the procedure. Although one treatment shows significant effect, for maximal benefits people may initially need 2 to 4 treatments, 4 to 6 weeks apart. When the desired effect is achieved, 1 to 2 treatments a year are recommended for maintenance.
